Field Trip to Wahpeton

On Thursday, September 15th, we had our first field trip. We attended conservation day at Chahinkapa Park in Wahpeton, presented by the Wilkin Soil and Water Conservation District. There were presentations by six agencies, which include:

  • Minnesota Pollution Control Agency

  • Minnesota DNR-Conservation Officer

  • Natural Resource Conservation Service-Soils

  • Chahinkapa Zoo

  • DNR-Forestry

  • Lake Region Electric Cooperative.

An animal trainer shows us a corn snake that we were allowed to pet.

Alex loves bobcat fur!!

Thomas thinks bobcat fur is warmer than a Snuggie!

We learned about furs and antlers.

We built a tree out of ourselves....

Water pollution effects everyone.

Sam loved watching the ducks.

Derrick was generating electricity by riding bike.

Fabulous furs, ladies!!
